What’s a wizard without a wand? London’s new Harry Potter installation, coming this autumn, celebrates the most magical accessory of all with a thrilling new display.
Massive magic wands will illuminate the city night along the route between Millennium Bridge and St. Paul’s Cathedral. At fifteen feet tall, the wands, suspended over the route, should add some enchanting drama to an already stirring view. Look for them every night between October 18th and November 12th, 2018, lighting at 6:45 PM.
It’s all part of the launch of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which is set to be released in the U.S. and the U.K. on November 16, 2018.
“Wizarding Wednesdays” during the wand installation will offer hands-on fun for Potter fans, including wand training and live musical performances.
It’s the perfect addition to all of London’s Harry Potter experiences, including the city’s many iconic movie locations, like Leadenhall Market (home to Diagon Alley scenes), Platform 9 3/4 in King’s Cross Station, and of course the ultimate fan must-do, The Warner Bros. Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter. Did you know you can visit them all with our exclusive London vacation designed just for Potter fans? Check it out here.
